The Park has belonged to the current family since the 1960's. The grandfather to the parks owner, lived in York but frequently passed the site on his way to Filey. He and his wife were keen caravaners so his interest in the site increased and he saw its potential. One day he pulled into the park and offered to buy it. At that time the site only had three caravans but he could see the future potential.

Over the next ten years the site improved and the number of caravans increased to approximately twenty. Mr Sherry retired and sold the park to his daughter and son-in-law. Mrs Bowles took on the day to day responsibility of the park but both planned the future development of the site. Today the park is being run by her daughters Bridget and Jacky, this has now become the third generation of the family to run the site. The site now has sixty eight fully serviced pitches, a wet room, and fully accessible shower and toilet block.

In 2002 the surrounding land was purchased, increasing the size of the park for the benefit of their caravaners.
