The Park has belonged to the current family since the 1960's. The father to the parks owner, lived in York but frequently passed the site on his way to Filey. He and his wife were keen caravaners so his interest in the site increased and he saw its potential. One day he pulled into the park and offered to buy it. At that time the site only had three caravans but he could see the future potential.

Over the next ten years the site improved and the number of caravans increased to approximately twenty. Mr Sherry retired and sold the park to his daughter and son-in-law, the current proprietors. Mrs Bowles took on the day to day responsibility of the park but both planned the future development of the site. Today the park has sixty nine fully serviced pitches, a wet room, and fully accesible shower and toilet.

In 2002 the surrounding land was purchased, increasing the size of the park for the benefit of their caravanners.
